    Hi,
    I'm looking for some help,
I have an old Sky Digital Pace that runs very slow.
    The details are as follows
    Pace Model Number 1.3.8
    Version 9F0201
    Operating System Version 1.2S4Bq
    EPG Software Version 3.1a.5

If I do a forced download will it speed up?
How do I do a forced download?

If I cant speed it up where would I pick up a newer faster digibox?

(I have SKY+ box as well so I cant get intro offer)
    Thanks

With a Version No of 9F0201, it sounds like the older 2200/2500 Pace models.

A forced download won't help speed in any way. The system will remain slow due to its slower internal achitecture.

I'd suggest just getting a new one or maybe a recent second hand one on eBay or Buy & Sell, etc.

Good ones IMO, would be the current Pace 430N, or the older Panasonic boxes (but not the DSB20)

In fact each newer version of software makes the 2500 go slower. Mine died just a few months ao and I had it over 5 years. The 2200 was even slower.
