I apologise if this has ben posted before.

My friend wants to get some sort of satellie system installed. He was going to go to Sky but I think he may not get the best deal there. All he wants basically is childrens programmes like they have on Sky for his 3 year old kid, news channel and I suppose a few soaps for the one who must be obeyed.

I get confused myself about the FTA and FTV thing so I cant help him. He is in Ballybofey, Donegal and I think there is something about the Strabane transmitter not broadcasting the free channels or something like that.

Thats it. Any comments or opinions would be most welcome

Get Sky and add CBBC and Cbeebies via other channels. Downgrade to Variety and Knowledge mix packs and cancel after a year.

You own all the gear from day 1 but have to subscribe on at least minimum pack for a year. You can often get a cheaper or free install on a larger pack and always 1 month notice to downgrade, even anytime in 1st Year. The actual Sky "kids pack" is not value compared with free kids TV on Sky. ITV will be starting CITV on ITV4 duriung daytime soon.

    On cancelled sub you get:

    (channel numbers cahnge this week)
