Was in connscameras at lunch hour, saw a canon 1d for 599 euro, this is an excellent camera with a very fast focusing system and professional build. The best value I have seen, even better than ebay, was tempted but have to much camera gear at the moment.

um, the 1D costs around €4000 without the lens!

That has to be a mispricing.

Are you sure it wasn't a 1-series film camera? That would be a reasonable price.

But one can have a lack of money to buy said gear, sadly! Sounds like a great deal to me. Anyone who shoots sports should be really interested in the 8fps!

They have a used 1V for 999 euro so that sounds...odd...considering they're siblings (1V being non-digital). Also, that'd be cheaper than the used 350D they have (with kit lens) and the same price as a 300D with a lens. http://www.connscameras.ie/flat_areaEQLproductsAMPCategoryIDEQL159_entry.html That's their Canon used equipment page.

Its the 4 mega pixel version as andy1249 noted, if you go in the shop in the secondhand display cabinet the camera is up in the top left hand corner. Thats why I posted as its a steal at that price.
