As in roundwound, flatwound and groundwound or are you looking for specific brands?

Flatwounds, I wont want to be ripping up the neck on my new bass (whenever Thomann feckin send it to me!)

Tried rotosound flatwounds before, pretty good, though I much prefer the sound of roundwounds, so it's tough **** on the fretboard as far as I'm concerned :v:

But can constant use of roundwounds eventually fvck up the neck beyond use?
Im new to this whole fretless scene :p

Only if you play with the heaviest of fingers... subtlety of touch goes a long way to developing your own sound on fretless. I've played fretless on and off for over 10 years and have never had a problem with damaging the fretboard.

Cool I might just stick with my Lo-Riders then.
As far as I know, didnt Jaco use roundwounds?

Yep, though whether you go with the chicken grease myth is entirely up to you :v:
