O.k. heres where kindly folk can recommend regular tournaments that the poster considers good value online for whatever buy-in v payout v runners v structure resaons. If it's a pricey buy-in it would be nice if you also mentioned if there were regular qualifers.

IN ALL CASES PLEASE STATE THE SITE,TIME AND TOURNAMENT NAME/BUY-IN.
ANY POSTS THAT ARE NOT ABOUT A SPECIFIC TOURNAMENT WILL BE DELETED.

I'll recommend the $5 MTT rebuy on Vegas Baby at 9pm Irish time every night.

It gets about 80-95 runners normally and first pays out approx $900-$1000 which at 180-200:1 of your original stake is excellent Return on Investment.

Boardsters will make final table on regular basis, weak field with approx 6 decent players.

Blinds every 8 minutes, but very very soft blind structure, so plenty of play. Tourney last about 3hrs 20 mins from start to finish.

Offline, I recommend the €50+5 double chance freezeout on Thursdays in the SE. A decent field (50+) with very poor players. The blind structure is fairly harsh after the break (no 150/300 level) but with all the chip donating going on during the first three levels most experienced players will have plenty of chips by this stage. Very very easy to get to the final table.*

*I know that after saying this I'm going to go 6 months without getting past the break :)

    OFFLINE:
The Best reasonably priced game of the week with plenty of play is the Fitz scalps game on a Friday night.

It costs €40 (which goes into the main prize pool) + €10 (to buy your scalp) +€10 (reg) and you get a starting stack of 2000 chips (plus a bonus 400 for being there from the first level). €50 (all into main prize pool) for the one rebuy or topup of 3000 chips. Plenty of play in this game and it is of a generally decent standard. Consistent final table of good quality players and the TDs always freeze blinds at the later stages to ensure plenty of play. Expect to play from 8.30 until 4.00am+ if you are to win this game.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

The reg is only €5 afaik, with €45 going to the prize pool, and €10 for the scalp.

I agree that this is the most enjoyable tournie of the week, and usually gets very good numbers.

    anymore on-line Recommendations please?
small entry fee if possible. anything up to €30 would be ideal

Full Tilt Double Stacked tourneys are good. They are on a couple of times a day. Can't remember any times. They have 24+2 and 50+5 ones. The structure is pretty good.

Pokerstars have some good deepstacked tourneys and they are on around 11 each night. Buyin is usually between $10 snd $30.

    online at 21.30 hrs
ladbrokes have a 25+2.5 freezeout with 1000 added
    normally 200 300 players
    weeklend have the fewest players
good overlay lots of suspect players will frusrate the hellout of you but good play should pay off

http://www.mansion.com (Tottanham Hotspur's new Sponsor next year BTW) (Follow Poker link then into the PokerDome section)

These have just opened up a new Poker site and they have a great 0.01c Satellite 6 days a week, where the winner of the MTT gets a trip to Vegas to play in a Televised Final Table (36 in total, 6 seats per week), the winner takes home $25,000 and a seat in a Semi-Final where the Winner takes home $50,000 and then onto a Final where you play for $1,000,000.

There's normally about 1,000 entrants in each so it's great value to have on in the back ground and just hope for the best if you're playing anyway....

As an extra way to get to Vegas, my affiliate has worked out a deal with Mansion where all the players they refer to the site (28% RB included) get to play in a Restricted 0.01 Satellite to Vegas on 9th July 2006. So far there's only 80 people signed up so there's a great chance of taking this down. If you want to get into this you need to PM me before 6th July 2006. Hopefully this isn't considered Pimping (I suppose it is a bit  ) but I really think this is such a great chance to get to Vegas....

sshhhh. 1 in 80 is too good to risk for 1% of a person who is never ever going to play on that site.

True, but I thought if I only gave a few days notice I'd only only get a couple of players and it'd be maybe 1 in 100 (as I'm sure they're bound to get loads in the next few days anyway....

Every Sunday at 9pm, BugsyClub have a $10,000 guaranteed prizepool with a $50+5 buy in. A lot of the time they don't reach the required 200 players so usually there is good overlay. There is the usual satelites to qualify for it but what makes this such a good tournament is you get 25,000 starting stack, yes thats right 25k! Blinds start of at 25/50 and include every level and clock is 10 minutes. Much under-rated tournament imo

With half an hour to go, only 102 have signed up and they need 200, going to be very nice overlay for this tournament.

On Betfair Wednesday 13th of December there is a $30 + $3 MTT. The winner will get to name 4 weekly $20 + $2 with $200 added MTT's held in January. They will also keep all rake generated by those four tournaments.

I've heard it never gets more than 600 runners. Just deposited this morning. I've a feeling I'll be playing this quiet a bit. Only 490 played yesterday!

Well the best one over the next 4 days has to be the 4 x $1000 Freerolls for everyday of Cheltenham at 9PM 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th @ Boylepoker.com. Win a total of $4000 simply by raking 50 hands before your register (registration ends at 9pm on the dot every night so you have right until the last minute to qualify).

The beautiful thing is in any other pokerroom you would be playing against 1000's of players but at Boylepoker at present there are only 200 registered for the freerolls!!

    See you there,

    The BoylePokerTeam

On the 1st sunday of every month prima have a 250K guaranteed $100 freezout. So they need 2500 people to cover the prizepool. Last sunday they had 1580 and last month they had 1600. That's a massive overlay.

Every night the 15K guaranteed $20 rebuy at 1am has an overlay of between 2000 and 3000.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,448 ✭✭✭Lazare

Played the amended Tuesday DC game in the Fitz last night. The new structure is fantastic value considering it's a €50+5 buy in. Got 70+ runners last night (8th May), with a nice mix of donks and good players. 5500 (3000 + 2500) starting stack with 25min levels.

    Hi all,

Ok...... Its about time we started pulling our weight with the Mermaid sponsorship of the International Open and all that so here goes.....

There is a $100,000 guaranteed tournament every Sunday night on Mermaid.
$100+$9 entry with satellites running very regularly......Starts at 8pm (Its on the Boss Network)......

They also run plenty of satellites to the likes of the Barcelona Open and the Master Classics plus they are on the Boss network which is getting Yahoo on board real soon so expect lots of deadish money.......

www.Pokerireland.ie is also an affiliate of Mermaid Poker so check us out if you want to become one of our players as we can offer loads of added value if you generate even a small amount of rake.....

    Stephen Mc Lean - stephen@pokerireland.ie

Oops, mods (Dom) please move to the online/offline tourney sticky if that is the place for this.....I meant to post it there but got a bit mixed up.
