Hi guys, I am about to launch a range of GAA t-shirts and other clothing and I am looking to pick your brain on what counties to focus on for launch.
First thought is of course Dublin because of the bigger population but then again half the people living in Dublin are from the rest of Ireland. Also while it might be the bigger population it is not necessarily the biggest population of fans.

I am thinking of focussing on Dublin, Meath, Kilkenny, Tyrone, Galway, Cork and Roscommon first and then slowly add in the rest of the counties. What do you think?

Try hit a small-ish county that get on a good run.

i.e. if the likes of Down or someone who hasnt had success in a while win a few matches, there'll be a bit of a stir around the county and people who arent big fans will jump on the bandwagon and hey presto, $$$

I am surpirsed that Kerry haven't been mentioned. After all they do have the history and the success.

    Armagh???

True, Kerry and Armagh would be good targets.

Jebus, half of Mayo are in Dublin, you'd want them on your short list as well.

You need to have your supply chain ready to be able to react quickly when you spot a team on a run.

If you see a 'Fermanagh 2004' or 'Clare/Wexford 1995' this is where you'll make the big bucks. You have to be able to react to it.

Supply chain is set up and ready. Turn around with new designs is 24 hours so there is no problem there :)

Culchie "Jebus, half of Mayo are in Dublin, you'd want them on your short list as well".

No word of a lie there Culchie. My family (grandparents) all came from Mayo and moved here 50-60 years ago.Lots of Mayo people in Dublin and Mayo are a team nearly guaranteed to have a good run every year.Anything less than a quarter final or even semi is dubbed as a fiasco.

Try to concentrate your stock on the big teams like Dublin,Tyrone,Armagh,Kerry,Laois,Mayo,Galway.I think Meath will have a better run this year in the championship.

Cavan. If they win a few matches, half the county goes mad. Even Colm O'Rourke, a Meath man, has consistently come out and said we've some of the best supporters.

they're too mean to buy new shirts, they just wear something blue...

just like most mayo supporters wear 1996/97 jerseys...

LOL.... I think you've never been to a Cavan game. Cavan people just don't buy the jerseys, they buy all sorts of jackets and other county merchandise too.

Thanks for all your help guys.
We launched the online shop with what is probably a strange combination of Down, Dublin, Kilkenny and Meath :)
This is more due to speed and inspiration then anything else.
The list you have provided me here will be the order that I will add to the range.
Its looking pretty good and I am very excited about the venture.

    Thanks again for your help.
