Just cancelling the card will still allow you to get the free channels on the Sky digibox. No need to change anything.

The only Free kids channels I can think of are CBBC, CBeebies, Pop and TinyPop. The others require a subscription.

But, you could just downgrade your package to a cheaper package, dropping movies or sports etc. Just give Sky a ring to change your package.

you will get any channel thats is Free To Air .

In sat speak they call them FTA.

childrens FTA channels are mainly the BBC offerings - Cbeebies and CBBC.
there are some others and foreignlanguage ones.

here a link for the FTA channels out there.

Free channels on Sky with cancelled card or a FTA satellite system.
    (The channel numbers are wrong)

(Dunno why Byte didn't link to this as it's on his site :) )

ITV4 will be Children's ITV (CITV) during the daytime.

    BBC1/2 and ITV/UTV ITV2 have children's programming.

some decent stuff on POP and Tiny POP.

Much TV is not good for children below 2 or 3 (some say 4 or 5), inhibiting their development. Some experts claim babies should not get ANY TV.
