What ye think as possible purchases?

    Fisheye

    Wide Angle

Not 100% sure on them, but I want a fisheye for a project coming up, and the wide angle would be pretty handy too.

    EDIT: I use a Canon 300d and a Canon 1000Fn...

And would I be better off saving ALOT and just buying a proper fisheye lens?

What lens do you own at the moment?
It will depend on what you are looking for, you won't get a very wide effect with a 19mm as on the 300D is a 30mm. If it's gonna be just for one project and you don't get much paid I'd go for the Fisheye, however don't expect great quality. Combined with a pro lens "L" at f8 or so you'd be surprised of the results (a good quality fisheye lens would be over a grand)

    Currently have an 18 - 55mm, 55 - 105mm and a 70 -300mm.

I'd find the fisheye useful, I do alot of ceramics in college, and even find that my Lomo Fisheye is great for presenting work. (Actually, while typing this I got a call from a friend that works in a camera shop, Might be able to get a Canon model of the fisheye for €15...Might be worth just getting that...can't go too far wrong for €15)

I'm back to Dublin tonight, so I might pop down to Conn's or the Camera Exchange, see what they have to offer.

Camera Exchange was closed this afternoon when I got there :( I'm looking for some new lenses as well.
