    www.lyngsat.com
    Check Atlantic and Europe Frequenices

Be sure to check Footprints in the Lyngsat "Beam" column

    http://www.lyngsat.com/europe.html
    From 56°E to Sirus @ 5E
(Unless you are very high up with clear horizon view and a large dish, the most easterly is 42E)
Bonum@56E can't be received. Express AM 22 at 53.0°E might be. The most East I get is Türksat 1C/2A at 42.0°E

    http://www.lyngsat.com/atlantic.html
From Thor 2/3 & Intelsat 10-02 at 1.0°W to PAS 9 at 58.0°W (in theory up to 70W in Limerick, but PAS 1R at 45.0°W is the most Weterly I get)

Note BEAM and check footprint. You won't get the C Band (3.5GHz .. 4.5GHZ) only Ku Band (10.7GHz to 12.6GHz) unless you have a a 2m or ideally 3.5m dish and a C Band LNBF.

So not all satellites can be received. Some footprints too weak in Ireland for 80cm dish.

Total around 20 satellites in MidWest on 80cm Dish. Many have feeds. You put in the frequencies from Lyngsat and rescan as they are only part time.

If you have more time and money you can do a "blind search" on a Satellite for unlisted frequecies and Symbol Rates. Feeds may change the Symbol Rate and/or the Frequency from day to day. Only a few receivers do Blind search.

An 80Euro FTA receiver (or Lidl) will do all the frequencies and Symbol Rates but not 422 or MPEG4 etc. A €40 Skystar2 PCI satellite Card in a PC may be able to have software for 422, MPEG4 or strange resolutions, depending oun your CPU speed and ProgDVB plugins.

NSS 7 at 22.0°W frequently has clear (FTA) feeds each afternoon for Germand and Russian channels from the USA.
    http://www.lyngsat.com/nss7.html

Occasionally I have caught Sky/NDS football feeds and EPNS feeds on Telstar12 @15W

NileSat, Amos and other Satellites with no Western Europe beams are invisble to me, even though they are closer than Sky signals @28E.

    Hi there
i am hopeing to get a TECHNOMATE TMS 1500 CI+ during the week so it should be i good one i hope. not to sure what dish to go for as i will have it on a tripod in the garden.

You know the CI is not needed for FTA or clear feeds and needs a subscription for any encrypted channels. You can't legally watch encrypted feeds at all unless you are the "feed client" :)

A CI or CAM option is a lot of extra expense for nothing if you are not subscribing to mainland Europe other non-Sky Pay TV. (Only Digibox is easily used for Sky cards)..

Just incase anyone reading might get confused.
