1893 Hildebrand & Wolfmuller Bike

On my travels in Germany recently I seen the first production motorbike ever built. It's a Hildebrand & Wolfmuller 1488 cc bike with a whole 2.5 hp, built in 1893. Just thought I'd share this as I was quite impressed when I seen this in the museum

The one in the picture is resting piecefully in a little town called Schliessheim (near Munich)

is that a piston type drive system it has?
