Working out my tax

I've taken up a part time job, I start on Monday. It's twenty hours a week at €7.65 an hour. That's €153 before anything is deducted. If the only tax credit I can apply for is the Single Person's Tax Credit, what can I expect to pay in tax every week?

    I don't think you'll pay anything.

    Single Person tax credit €1630
    Paye Tax credit €1490

    Thats €3120 a year or €60 a week

To work out your tax as follows:

    Gross Pay €153
    Taxed @ 20% = €30.60 per week

Tax Credit = €60.00 per week.

Therefore no tax to be paid and no PRSI either
