    about to download skype...anybody know of any hidden pitfalls? or is it as good as it sounds?

    It a class program, I have used it to ring from SE Asia to Ireland and its top quality. But.........

    new software available to ISP's could see the call quality dropping.

    P.S you need a credit card if you want to ring landlines/mobiles from skype

    Its great for teh skypsex. *cough*

    It's as good as it sounds. The obvious limitation is that the other person needs 'Net access & skype too..and you're stuck to a computer... but for free calls-well worth it. + If they don't, and you want to Skype Out ...pfft.

    Take a look at voipbuster aswell, the calls to landlines in Ireland are free with this program, although you have to top up once by a tenner...
