I've been trying to send faxes using the blueface email to fax service. Basically you have to email a pdf attachment and it is supposed to fax iut. however I've tried a couple of pdf print drivers and not got any to work. Blueface support told me to use paperless office which is supposed to have a free personal edition. I installed that but it is looking for a purchase before it will work and I won't buy it unless it works. chicken and egg...

Have you tried PDFCreator at sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator?

Or CutePDF. I've used it successfully a couple of times and hit my first problem yesterday. Recipient said that it came out garbled. I'm putting it down to their fax machine as I haven't had any other problems.

Thanks I've managed to create the doc ok but a litany or problems have been added. Using Gmail to send the attachment means that the attachment name isn't read correctly by the blueface software. Tried my eircom smtp mail but being on ntl it won't allow it. Now discovered that my native ntl email account is inactive. So here I am trying to get through to ntl support .....
