I'm hoping someone can give me a little help here.

I'm buying a new laptop and want the TV tuner option on it.
The question is do I get a laptop with it built in or do I get an external one. Im not sure what requirements are needed on the laptop for an external one
here are a few examples of the ones i was looking at

any advice would be very grateful

Well I just bought a Terratec Cinergy PCMCIA TV Tuner card for my laptop and I'd really recommend it - Works like a dream on a 1.5 centrino inspiron with a gig of ram, crystal clear and perfectly smooth... Good s/w aswell. Cost 100 euro incl vat & postage from Komplett.

    thanks for the help.
In terms of aerials how does it work?
Would I need a roof aerial? (as ive been reading elsewhere)
Theres a couple of Acer laptops with the TV card/aerial built in.
I was considering buying one of them.
Would I be right in thinking that buying an external tuner card will do the job just fine?
Plenty of questions I know but Im a new comer to all this.
    thanks
