Motley Crue, supporting GNR or Not?

Yesterday both the Evening Herald and Irish Independant ran an ad and an article respectively about the newly announced GNR concert here in June. Now Motley Crue representatives are claiming that theyve never heard of the plans to support GNR in June in the RDS. This seems a little crazy to me that a band wouldnt have heard of a major support slot at a big gig. What i think has happened is that Motley Crue were planning to play Download 06, but didnt want to announce plans just yet, but then GnR came along and published their support fixture in the advertisements and the Crue were suddenly 'unofficially' announced for Download 06 (since the June 9th gig in the RDS is being organised by Download)

Youll also notice that MotleyCrue management have not said the band WONT play in Dublin, just that they were unaware of it....Motley Crue have never played in Ireland as far as I know....so perhaps a gig in the summer with GnR would be something they might be able to handle!

I think they will still come
    What do people think?
