    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know about MMDS coverage in SE Ireland ?
In Carlow town for example, I think most antennae point
to Horizon, but apparantly Suir-Nore also covers here.
Are there any sites which show MMDS coverage,
and MMDS TX site info ?

    TIA,
    R

No such companies any more. All Chorus. Main tx at Thomastown and a repeater (I think) on the hills just outside Carlow Town.:)

If one lives in an "overlap area" (i.e. can get signals from two MMDS companies) how does that work ?

Can one subscribe to either or is there some legal restriction on franchise areas. And what if someone lives within the franchise area of MMDS company A but for some reason cannot get a signal from Company A's transmitter but CAN get a signal from Company B's TX can they subsbe to Company B even though theyre outside Company B's franchise area ?

It used to be that franchise area was entirely Geographic. Though Chorus and NTL Ireleand are now owned by UCG/UPC and getting merged I think there is still one other cable operator (CaseyVision?).

Casey Cablevision in Dungarvan, however I don't believe they have any MMDS licenses, which makes UPC Ireland (NTL + Chorus) the only MMDS operator in Ireland.
