tribeca notes problem: anyone else ?

just wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem when taking notes on more players than one (at once) on VC , when I opened a second notes window I got an "illegal operation" message and lost some good notes I had on another player, annoying but not life threatening, admittedly

. Anyone else spot this or was this really a "microsoft problem " or a " firewall issue" as the "host" called it ? (the response "my arse" didn't go down too well)

VC customer service is pretty poor with these things when you try to bring it to their attention

That sounds like fairly feverish note taking. Whats the hurry, did you get ko'd in a 4 way all in or something and you wanted to get the notes in before the avatars dissapear?.

I've never been able to take more than one note at a time. If I forget that I have a note open on playerA in the background, and try to open a new note on PlayerB, then I always get that 'illegal op' message you refer to, and lose any changes I've made to PlayerAs notes.

Interesting problem. My suggestion if you are a VC customer is to send some screen shots of the problem to them via email and then they could get Tribeca to take a look and see what the issue is. If any of you ever have an issue like this on PPP would much appreciate screen shots and a mail so we can solve the problem.

There is an upgrade coming up that enhances the notes service amongst other things. But I have never been made aware of the particular issue raised here.

Nikki,
its a PPP problem (a PPPP

) as well.
Go to a table. Edit a new note on PlayerA. change it but dont save it.
Go back to the table, RightClick on PlayerB and select EditNote.
It'll prompt you to save PlayerAs note and when you click yes, you will get an error message 'An unsupported operation was attempted'.

Tis rather more of an unsupported action than a bug. The warning comes up as the action is "illegal" (poor word) its not set to accept the action.

However on a positive note. It is part of the note enhancements and this will no longer occur with the next version (very soon)

On a side note whats the story with the stupid software update? i much prefer the old positiong of the check/check-fold boxes. Hate the new setup.

We received complaints about the pre selection options beign too closely positioned to the in hand selections resulting in some players calling instead of folding.

nah, had been meeting one player ( A) regularly and decided to pay more attention to his style and kept the note window open, another regular did something out of character so I went to update his note, and lost the lot on player A. Not the end of the world but annoying none the less.

PPP Boss, thanks for the info., shame , I was amazed at the VC help suggesting this could be a windows setting problem or due to my firewall :rolleyes:
