    They have these in xtra-vision as well and you get €50 of vouchers with it

    they dont give you vouchers. They give you money off coupons so its misleading. You have a month and a half to use them aswell:mad:

    I had one of the 610 recorders from Philips and it was complete muck. It had a life of its own. It would just start doing stuff on its own without user intervention.

    I heard the rest of the range isn't much better.

    i am in the market for a multi region player and this would be good but i have a question. does it record onto DVD RAM?

    I have had three of the 610 recorders all of which were total rubbish so many problems even after firmware upgrades. Changed to a Panasonic (very nice)

    They may have sorted the problems but proceed with caution.

    DO NOT BUY THIS DVD RECORDER...DON'T BUY PHILIPS DVD RECORDERS

    I worked in an electrical retailer all summer and all we got back were stupid Philips Dvd recorders...
