    Hi lads

I have a small problem that maybe some of you may help me with if they have had any experience with it happening.

For the last few days on my Peugeot 206 van at intervals a bleep sound can be heard from the steering columb then 5 seconds later the same bleep again, then thats it only to be heard an hour or so later.

Now i was thinking it may be the oil or water but no light came up but i checked anyway and they were ok.
Checked basically everything and even droped it up to bluebell and they couldnt find a fault.

I havnt a clue what the beep is for, doors are ok etc.

Has anyone had maybe the same problem on a 206 or even a 307?

    Cheers

Hey. I have a 307 van and its been bleeping at me a lot lately. I do get a light on the dash, i think its the radiator symbol, It sounds like its coming from under the steering wheel, but it turned out to be warning me that the van was low on anti-freeze, hence it only happening when it was less than 2 degrees out. No harm in checking. Pain ine ass though, coz you could be driving along at 80kmph and suddenly the STOP light starts flashing. Thats a bit unnerving.

yes it has only happened now when it was freezing ie: 3 degrees and under, ill check the antifreeze tomorrow.
But ive had no indicators on the dash at all, not even the serious STOP light.

But funny thing is today i didnt get it at all.

206's beep when the outside temp falls below 3 degrees to warn for ice, could be this.

yeah true. if its less than 3 degrees, you get three solid one second beeps to tell you that its cold. (in case you didnt notice when you froze your nips off on the way to the car)
