I love a good horror movie but the movies coming out of Hollywood recently are average at best. With this in mind I want to get my hands on some good Asian Horror movies. I dont have a huge knowledge of Asian cinema because its hard to follow it in this country.

Im wondering if you lot could recommend some good Asian Horror movies for me to try get my hands on.

    Thanks

Ringu to a lesser extent Ring 2
    A Tale of Two Sisters
    Dark Water
Audition (more thriller I suppose, but still worth a watch)
The Eye (not all that scary but the suspense is great)
Ju-On The Grudge (similar to Dark Water and The Ring)

I think all of them bar A Tale of Two Sisters and Audition have been remade recently for Hollywood. The Eye is currently in pre-production.

Beat me too it. All decent. A more recent example is R-Point, worth getting your hands on.

Be sure to catch Kairo before the hollywood remake comes out. It's a very unsettling film with a wonderful atmosphere.

St. John's Wort is another one that has it's moments. It's based on a survival horror game that was on the SNES.

Oh.. and be sure to catch Ring 0 if you haven't already. It's the prequel to Ring and I think it's a lot better than Ring 2.

Phone is worth seeing for the amazing preformance from the little girl in it.

Ring 0 is incredibly boring though.
