    Hi everyone,
Im new to this forum so not sure if its regularly visited but I just want to ask a quick question.
My boyfriend an I are heading down to Waterford tomorrow for the weekend and were wondering where to go, what pubs would be our scene and if there's any gigs on or anything big happening in town over the weekend? We're both 20 and would be interested in anything from a trad night in a pub to clubbing really, any suggestions would be very welcome

    thanks!!

Hi ya, firstly, I hope ye have an enjoyable weekend down with us. There are plenty of good bars around. Geoff's and the wacky apple would be 2 very good places to start. There will probably be a band playing in the wacky apple. If its something lively that ye are into, well you have a choice there of Mason's Muldoon's, Ruby's, or Harveys, which is a new bar that has openend in the last 2 months. All these bars are within walking distance of each other.

Where are ye staying? We may be able to give you some other suggestions and to where to go and for some food and there may be other bars nearer to ye.

    Hope this helps.

EDIT - There that makes it a bit more readable - stupid white space removing thingy:mad:

Thanks a million for those replies aquos and c-13,

We're staying in the bridge hotel. My knowledge of Waterford wouldnt extend very far but I think we'll be able to find our way around if we know of good places to go.. Interested in somewhere nice to eat that's not very expensive....we're students after all!! and friendly service especially, dont want to be rushed through dinner either!

Hi, just to let you know THE HUB BAR formerly known as THE WACKEY APPLE is worth a visit. It is beside THE APPLE MARKET. Pop in and the locals are very friendly and they will fill you in about entertainment in Waterford city. Enjoy your stay.

I'm guessing the OP is no longer a student, but probably a parent at this stage... so just to update her, No 9 on Barronstrand St is a very good child-friendly spot! :D

God, The Temple Bar! Completely forgot that place ever existed. And all the times I was in there. Brings back memories.
