    Hey
I am looking for an older civil war type game, where you can command musketeers, cannons, cavalry, that type of thing.. Napoleonic, anything that has decent graphics but will run on a 1.8ghtz laptop.. so nothing too new..
    Anyone know any good ones?

cossacks...a bit old so should run fine. plays like age of empires, but you can line your muskateers up with cannon support etc...prob would be your best bet at the moment.

Id also say Cossack is probably your best bet considering your low spec PC, however Age of Empires 3 is also set in that era.

Cossacks is your best choice as i dont think that ur labtop would have the graphic power to run AoE3.

If ya want the origonal game from the american civil war games that was great fun to play back in the day you should try and run urself a copy of north and south. It was origonally released on the Amiga but there was a version released on the PC maybe back in 1993. Dont think you would ever find it and if you do let me know cause i loved that game.

On the other hand, if youre thinking more hardcore/grognard then theres games like this which might float your boat. The battle of Bull Run done on a M:TW looking engine with an AI thats supposed to be pretty mean. Havent played it myself though.
