Ok, a few of us in the job are after getting a significant amount extra this week. :D

I assume this is due to the tax bands been widened in the last budget and not through a fck up by our company's payroll team.

Please tell me I'll be getting the same amount (at least!) as this week for the foreseeable future. :)

Most companies will have been working on last year's tax basis up until the last couple of weeks, although the new tax rates apply from the first, so you should get a tax refund of some description.

I have an end-of-job paypacket coming to me next week (so it'll include all untaken leave and overtime), which will also include the tax refund.... \o/

Ya`l get a bit of rebate for the few weeks yer employer was working on 2005 tax bands , but you wont get that much every week because the rebates in there , depending on what yer earning , yer tax will go down a little.

I dont have the rates to hand here , think the single person credit went from 1580 to 1630 and the PAYE tax credit went from 1270 up to 1490.

If people looked into what their entitled to there tax would drop a good bit more also , such as I just knocked 330 off my tax bill due to relief on living in a rented accomodation.

How did you go about getting that Rented accomodation relief?
I mean not alot of landlords aren't declaring and wont sign any forms or give their details?

You will only get rent relief if your landlord is registered. I'd prefer my landlord to be registered.

If the landlord ain't registered, use the fact to get a discount in your rent. ;)

Wrong. You'll get the rent relief regardless. In fact, the Revenue positively encourage tenants to apply for rent relief if their landlord isn't registered, as they can then pursue the landlord for undeclared income/not registering with the PRTB.
