Opera & Gmail

I've read a bit on Gmail's incompatibility with Opera.

Now, I installed Opera. It's great. And you can read gmail messages, reply to them.

But you can't compose a new mail, forward it on - cos you can't take addresses from your address book. You can enter them manually but no one is really going to that.

Anyone have any idea is this gonna change?

    Cheers
    Quad

Thats a good question, and I dont honestly know if I can answer it for you with certainty, without telling you a small story.
I once was walking down the road on a nippy wednesday afternoon, just outside a Hotel in a small town, whereupon I stumbled upon two black cats. I always knew them to be associated with bad superstition and evil. My curiosity got the better of me and I went up and started patting one of them. Instead of running away, she purred and responded in a generally positive way toward me. Her sibling, another black cat just across the road, looked on in amazement. I then finished stroking the cat and went to my car. I got in and drove off and made my way home safely. It was a wonderful afternoon I had with my girlfriend.

I hope that somewhere in that story the answer will come to you. I hope all is ok.

There seems to be some amount of sarcasm in relation to a simple question. I am well aware that Opera is a great browser in general - it's fast and efficient. But its incompatibility with gmail is a balls.

I just downloaded the beta that Peteee linked to and that's actually worse.

Gmail appears as a small box in the top left of the browser window with 'loading....' appearing three times in the main window.

    Ah well. Firefox it is!

I know Pete had some issues with Opera9 and gmail. Fixed now but I don't know what he did.

Myself, gmail and Opera9 work fine, no issues at all.

Sorry not to be of any help but the attached screen previous shows that the contacts do work as I said.

Yeah, there was a bit of sarcasm alright!

You definetly need to fiddle with it

    Preferences --> Advanced

Sites and tehn click default settings, Style tab and enable frames and in-;one frames.

    Should work then!
