Just thought I'd ask everyone, in the interest of all that's good about diversity;) , what their average training session would consist of. Time spent on warm-up, sparring, drilling, kata, etc.

    Any takers?

Yo, everyone is totally different for us.

But, we warm up by usually doing one of the following..
Shadow boxing for 3 mins, Shadow Clinch and Shadow ground.
Cardio and calasthenics stuff / skipping etc.

Move into Various Drills for about 5 mins. Which we always do.

Drill various stuff in stand-up, clinch and ground. Spar each range, hit pads etc.

Thats for the beginners class. The fight drills we do are top secret hahah

    Peace

2 hours, 20 minute warm up, an about 40 minutes on technique, another 20 - 30 minutes on working on that technique with added resistance and then roll for the last 20 or 30 minutes.

when in ireland when doing RBSD 15 - 20 min warm up finish with up to 100 push up and 200 + sit up and stomach work. Drill basic techniques on pads from "Fence" position in close range, palm shots, knees, elbow, slaps, hammer strikes, low kicks say 45 mins. then practice escapes from grabs, hugs, chokes etc. or maybe drills Crazy Monkey 2 -3 pounding on one doing CM in a corner...as a example or work shredder technique, or defending from ground or on ground. finish last 15 mins real high intensity. warm down. sometimes do 1 hour defence against knife, club or bottle or hand gun.

and for Thai...well good old traditional Thai training! pads, bags, sparring, clinch, running,

    Suppose since I posted first!

    TKD/KB-
Different every time. Warm up-usually shadow boxing followed by running a bit and generally goofing around with a game or two to get the sweat up. Then some light sparring or pad work. Then pads, either boxing or kicking depending on the night. Lately we've been adding clinch so sometimes drill some basics there. Then go into detail on whatever we're focussing on, say power kicking or footwork, drill that then spar- go home... Sometimes finish with patterns.

BJJ- Warm up usually with just general calisthenics followed (usually) by light guard passing game, this usually takes us about 15mins. Then roll to submission for about 15 minutes. Then we take an aspect where someone is struggling, say top position and drill that, again about 15 to 20 mins. Then roll to submission until someone says stop!

In the thread "Clubs in Clonsilla/Castleknock", in post 5, I detailed my class breakdown.

If anyone is interested they could use the search facility for the thread. Is there a tool to show threads?

    Regards all,
