Not sure where this fits in the Google plan for world domination (TM)

    http://pages.google.com/

Why this given they already have Blogger and such....?

Well, I guess not everyone wants to blog. Some people want to just create a nice little page with a photo of their trip to Kathmandu to send to Auntie Jean etc, or a personal site about whatever issue. Google Pages fills that gap - especially with it's template driven layout, it's a lot less intimidating than grabbing a HTML editor and doing it for average Joe and/or Ethel Bloggs, which is what Google try to do (apparently) - make things simple.

Google's grand, but if you want to make something different and stand out, then using google's services like this wont help you.
