Any thoughts? I saw one for sale that looked tempting.....

Redone bodywork and a unleaded 280 engine fitted.

Had a 240Z for while and I loved it to bits! Absolute cracker of a car: 150bhp under the bonnet in original spec, nice twin carb 2,5 litre straight six, rear wheel drive. Long nose, short rear end. A joy to drive and the 5 speed box makes it a good long distance cruiser too. You almost sit on top of the rear axle, bit claustrophobic with the high dash and all black interior, but very low down, giving you a nice sporty feel. Solid gearchange, light clutch, confidence inspiring brakes, steering quite heavy while moving slowly, but excellent while on the move. (I guess we're all a bit spoilt with the power steering in every car nowadays) Interior is a bit sober, but you are rewarded with a great reliability and solidness. You know that if you switch a lever or push a stalk, it WILL work and do exactly what it is supposed to do.

I can recommend it wholeheartedly, BUT Beware of cars that are past a certain point with rust, since to restore these cars is extremely difficult!!! Subframes are particularly vulnerable. Problem is, that it's not easy to spot when a car is gone too far, so read up on it first or find someone who knows them well before you take the plunge.
