Argento seeks guitarist and a new singer

hi folks well we're searching for some one who has heard out stuff and would be interested in tryin our for us.

Theres a track on our website for download if you'd like to give us a listen and see what you think or even if you could pass it on to some one for us we'd hugely appreciate it

We're looking for seperate singer and guitarist - im sure theres many fine singer/guitar players but we'd prefer to keep em seperate for the moment:o

At the moment theres drums,rythmn/lead guitar and bass. We reherse in Dublin city center and have our own practise PA - we reherse twice a week tuesday and Thursday night from 7 till about 10.
we've recorded a couple o tracks one of which is on the GIGSMART COMPILATION CD, tho its not the best example of our work!

We're lookin for people between 22 - 28 and have some experience in bands and on stage - we'd prefer a male singer.
Our influences range from Primus,Rush to Mr Bungle/faith No More to System of a Down.

heres one that was recorded for a compilation - we are not happy with it but its another example of our work (one i think we're ultimatly dropping)

the closest sound we'd love to get is a cross between Primus and The Mod Flanders Conspiracy (great band check out some o their tunes)

this is a ruff as you like track we recorded simply to give out to prospective guitarists/singers - theres no drums just click guitar and bass. you can tear it apart,rewrite it,add to it , take away from it, scrap the whole thing, anythin ye want - the only thing we ask is to make it heavy

hey i quite enjoyed this too.
heres a tip and i dont mean to be a bo**ix but try and avoid getting another singer who sounds like claypool or patton..

I'd be kinda interested in singing, but I know your stuff and I think you need a bit of a screamer, and I'm no screamer, nor do I intend to be.

haaaaa.... news to me we had a singer that sounded like patton and claypool , woulda thought we'd still have him if he did :;)

hmm yeah might try ya out anyways if ur intrested. Style's Completly changed as of late. Pm Myself or chess and one of us will meet up with ya and flick ya a demo of the new stuff.

Hows the new stuff coming along? I'm more then capable of filling the vocal shoes of the band, but I wonder what ye are doing since the Cuan chap departed? I liked the old stuff, but as that was mostly the Cuan lad's brain children, well, I await to hear the new stuff before offering to jump on board.... but if ye are good, well, I can sing what you need me to sing, no problem.

Yeah you're right man music changed alot since the change of members, wouldn't be looking for a screamer. If ur intrested in filling the spot send us a pm and i'll meet up and give you a cd of the new stuff, or put it up on the net or something.
