Anyone have reservations about "Real Player" ? .....

I seem to rem some saying it's a real hog on CPU ?.....

I need to have it if I wish to run some free entertainment being offered by Eircom as part of their Broad band service ..... I have Win Media Player but it wont run the Eircom free bees ...... I'll skip the offer if it means screwing up my Pc performance ....

Real Alternative works for me. I use Media Player Classic too.

What do you guys generally use for built-in Real Player stuff? For example BBC and RTE Radio shows rebroadcast online in Real format and playing within a browser plug-in.

Do you use firefox? If so there's an extention that give you the option to play streams like you find on bbc radio1 in an external player ie media player clasic in this case.

    Alternatively, again in firefox.
If you right click and select view page info then the media tab, look for embeded files and more than likely its the stream. This is how i used to listen to streams of bbc radio1 shows (which is a kickass radio station btw)
