Why do you hav to go to so many pubs? Blue note sucks ass big time! why not just go out to Sallys on a Sat night and get the corner where the fire is and relax and chill there all night, no dress code needed no big talk about it just go there and drink, problem solved!

Why don't you make your suggestion in the relevant thread rather than starting another?

cause most of the students aren't around on Saturdays or workin. weekdays are usually the best to get people around.

Would have been a great idea on a thurdays/friday night about 4 years ago when Sallys wasnt a stop of for people going to cp's. Sallys blows goats these days.

yeah but there are a fair few students on the board so by havin it at the weekends you won't have as many as you would havin it near the weekend. plus most people have weekends for family time or already have other plans.

they are never early in the week because of the people who are workin.

thursdays and fridays usually work out the best

weekdays bad ... fridays / saturdays good ...

or else it should just be called student beers ... or something ...

It is all about student beers , there should be an entirely separate sticky for grown up beer drinkers who don't head for mayo and donegal every weekend with the mammys bag of laundry :p

Bob is the Likes of Taffes and the Crane your kinda place? :D

Better n bleedin Sallys although the Crane is still Vozindoolin central . The dewdrop is quite civilised too, what with the smokin area being bigger than the pub itself ...and Colies is not bad midweek although its too country at the weekend.

The Front Door is much better than it was too.

Nevertheless I normally drink in Salthill , PJs is very far east by my standards but good for a feed of pints anytime. Always was too.

Arginite, I couldn't have put it better myself. Sallys punters have turned into anything that can get in the door. It lost all its atmosphere and is now full of wanna be hard men pulling up to the door on their 50cc scooters. Can't be bothered with that. Might as well advertise it as Busker Browns 2 or the Living Room 2.
