Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Sun
    The Who - Sat
    The Strokes - Sat
    Kaiser Chiefs - Sun
    Franz Ferdinand - Sun
    Bellx1 - Sun
    Arctic Monkeys - Sat
    Richard Ashcroft - Sat
    Sigur Ros - Sun
    Manu Chao - Sun
    Primal Scream - Sat
    Damian Marley - Sun
    Felix Da Housecat - Sun
    David Morales - Sat
    The Magic Numbers - Sat

The release was yesterday (the 20th) in the Westbury Hotel and it was fairly uneventful (lasted about 3 minutes)... Apart from that though the line up seems pretty good to me at this early stage.

Nice to see Manu Chao up there, can't wait for that! And obviously The Who, not really that impressed by the Chilli Peppers after seeing them in Landsdowne a couple of years back. Apart from that I cant wait to get my ticket!

They were complaining about the line up on the oxygen message boards. I think it looks pretty decent. I like the look of

    The Who,Arctic Monkeys,Red Hot Chilli Peppers,Richard Ashcroft,Primal Scream

Arctic Monkeys should be a good show and through the grapevine I heard MUSE were meant to be coming back although this is totally without any backup information :(

Hey!!!I'm on those boards. And im stickin to my opinion of it, its not a great lineup. But suppose there will be a few more decent bands to be announced. But the headliners and second bands announced already(RHCP,The Who,Strokes, Franz or Kaisers). Looks like a few early campsite nights. Although the Who at 1 in the mornin is nice aswell. But i still wanna go Reading instead

of course we do, we hate everything and everybody. your board is sound as its not linked to anything so there is never a influx of new people asking the same questions over and over again. from now untill the fest we'll be getting more of "how old do you have to be to get in, i'm 16 is it easy to get serverd there, what do i need to bring! questions, every. single. day. so we flame them. to bits. usually they call us ***** and go off crying. well good. piss off and leave our board alone.
and then after oxegen "oh my got werent X great, who was in b11 wasnt it the best ever, that blonde girl i met during the chillies" type statements/questions. it gets on our nerves, so we flame them out of it too, you have to have pretty thick skin to live around there. you dont know man, you werent there[/in grizzly war vet voice]

EDIT: ok ok so mcd backed down and its now show 4 camping tickets and get free parking. so that maks this post of mine less then right. but it was right when i wrote it.

and neacy69: we are a nice bunch of kunts, just dont piss us off this time of year!

YES i did read you post thats how i know about the extra e20 and iirc your post was corrected by following post...
Ya it is show 4 tickets, why dont you read before you post.

Copy and pasted from the oxegen site (again)

    CAR PARKING INFO.

Car parking tickets cost €20 but it's free if you purchase it at the same time as 4 OXEGEN tickets on the Ticketmaster website. You can also get a free parking ticket if you bring any 4 tickets purchased separately to a Ticketmaster outlet

Interestingly there's a conversation at the Sigur Ros board about Irish people who are in the odd position of, for the first time ever, not being even remotely interested in seeing Sigur Ros play. Or at least, not pay that much to see them play at a sub standard festival.

Yeah sure I can understand that, but then you have that Wishlist area and when people post music they like, ****heads like you appear and just give **** to these people who are doing what the forum asks...

Here theres decent people, who are willing to discuss music.. anyway, back on topic..

I'm happy, haven't heard of all the bands but sure so what? heard of most of them. Gonna be a class gig. And have you looked at any other line-ups? Not like oxegen is some boger fest in comparision or anything. But hey takes all types and the 70,000 people who turn up will be there for fun and won't moan about how x band was ****. It's all about having fun and seeing some bands. Besides even if you only like 5 bands you save money. Individual gigs cost a lot.

Wonder if the kanye rumor is true? They did have snoop last year so who knows. Still wrong type of festival for rap r metal. Its rock n dance n a little bit of soul. Roll on Friday.....:D

Besides Sigur Rós, there's nothing there of interest to me.

Same here. I'm hoping some more good bands pop up on the Sunday to make it worth buying a one day ticket. I wouldn't go just for SR as there'll be loads of stupid ***** there, the Olympia crowd was bad enough.

Oh and how is everybody not sick to death of the RHCP at this stage? They play more often than most Irish bands.

True that. I don't plan on seeing them at all over oxegen to be honest. Arctic Monkeys are decent enough an Felix is fantastic... :D

The chillis live make me wanna pull my hair out. Anthony Kedis' singing is so flat you get that feeling you get if you watch pop idol or one of those shows. Im afraid if i go I'll kill someone...
Anyone know what primal scream are like these days? I love screamadelica but im sure they must be pretty far derived from that stuff by now...
