Hello, I recently bought a new WD external hard drive and I want to know how to set up the access rights so that only I can view the files and folders. I have had alot of people tell me "right click, select properties and click the security tab" but there is only a local sharing and security setting where by it asks me to drag it into my Shared documents WTF!!!!! Please help.

For Linux, you can use chmod/chown, XP provides you with the security properties. However, if you're using ME or 98 you're rather restricted in what you can do.
