Student Poker Tournament

I'm a student in IT Tallaght Dublin. Just recently opened a poker society in the college and plan to run tournaments. The usual Texas Holdem rules apply. It's a social event but there are cash prizes. The tournament will be run regularily but for firsts there is one this Thursday 23rd February starting a 5. Registration will continue until 6 when the game will kick off properly.

    €5 buy in 2500 chips
    €5 re-buy 2000 chips
    €5 top-up 2000 chips

€5 gets you registration to the society and 2500 in chips.

You HAVE to be a member of a USI college and student ID will be required.

The events are run by the two auditors of the society and disputes will be handled by either auditor.

The tournament starts at roughly 5 o'clock - turnout depending. As I said, student ID required from USI college. If you fit the criteria you're welcome. Come to the college, go up the stairs and go right - that's it.

Let me know if you're interested so I can let people know numbers coming.

I would normally be there in a shot - I live in Tallaght, but there's a DIT poker tournament on Thurs...

Will this be a weekly event? DIT's is every 2 weeks so I could alternate each Thursday :D

Funny you should say that, it's a bi-weekly event and we were already planning to play on the Thursdays that DIT aren't playing. The reason this one is clashing is basically because we're eager to get our first game underway. ;)

It's also possible we might even change from Thursdays to Tuesdays because a lot of the students in ITT that expressed an interest appear to work on Thursday evenings. We'll keep you posted.
