How to play .MKV video?

    I got some anime which was in .MKV format; unfortunately, neither VLC nor Quicktime were able to play the files successfully.
    Anyone know if I'm missing a codec pack, or should look for (another) player?:confused: Cheers

    Fvck it, looks like there's no support for OSX... looks like I'll have to wait to see MS IGLOO -_-

    I've played one in VLC, definately.

    It's just an avi file really. You can use uh... vobsub to extract the avi, I think, but I don't know if there's an OS-X version. I haven't tried, I haven't had the need.

    I meant "Fvck it" because I can access a Windows machine if needs be.

    ...or, you know, wait for MS IGLOO to be released in English... *sigh*
