A few months back a number of different receivers were tested by Tele-Satellite for their tuner sensitivity. AFAIR the Topfield model came out on top. Unlike the Technomate, however, it does not have blindsearch.

On some of the German forums, the Koscom SDC 3510 is rated as being very good at pulling in the weak Astra2D in Central Europe where other FTA receivers fail to get signal lock.

a great receiver, a new model, opticum 3000L its on our site and a reasonable price €88. its better than just buying the cheapest cheap also leads to BAD. the opticum receiver has a sensitive tuner also. wer're having problems with technomate we're getting a good few faulty!

The primary sensitivity is the DISH. Secondary is the LNB. What people mistake as sensitivity is able to receive a weaker signal (2D in South of Spain or Central Europe but other sat channels strong) in presence of a stronger signal.

A change from 0.6dB to 0.3dB in LNB is NOTHING compared with next size dish, i.e. 80cm instead of 65 or 70cm.

Going from 80cm to 1.1m you won't see any difference then in receivers.

The "front" of the Receiver is in the LNB, 2 stage 10GHz to 12GHZ amplifier, Mixer then wideband IF amp with high level cable driver. Thus a different LNB has much more effect than the receiver.

The whole system needs to be considered.

Would scaller and satworld like banned for advertising? you sound like sockpuppets.
