Printing probs from Outlook Express and IE

When I print from Outlook Express v6 and Internet Explorer v6, the pages print with the edges of the text trimmed - as if the margins are set incorrectly. I print to a HP Laserjet 1100 using its driver. I have used the same printer, using HP 111p driver, but the results are far worse.

I have looked for a "change margins" option in both programs, but cannot find any.

As I have many emails which I want to keep and also want to keep my surfing history, reinstalling Outlook Express and Internet Explorer is something I'm wanting to do, especially if the problem is still there.

What are my options and how can I avoid any repeat in the future.

    Regards,

    HPMan.

This is an old problem with IE... they've fixed it in the IE7 Beta, if you want to upgrade at this stage. Otherwise, print landscape.

an old trick is to copy the page and paste it into something like word etc and then print it from the prog selected ....

bit of a pain but it works .... never understood why this problem continues to exist ....

another way of backing up your email is to install a second hard-drive. you then move your store folder to the second drive. i do this to all computers i build and its a lifesaver. i also put the my documents folder on the drive and
any downloads or necessary drivers also. as to your present problem i would try what Judt or Hobie suggest.

Thanks to all for advice; I'm running Windows 98SE - I doubt MSIE Beta 7 or full Version 7 will be for my OS??

It's still only in beta... but you're correct, IE7 is for Windows XP SP 2 only, and will remain that way - it'll be XP and Vista only for its lifetime.
