    Hey,

I'm looking into working in Canada for an undertermined length of time, where would you guys recommend the best place to go it? East or West? North or South?

I'm only asking now as i have to put my destination when filling out the visa application and i hadn't really thought about it..

Also, what would be a good job?

Well I would say Toronto, Ontario, but then I'm biased having grown up and lived here most of my life :)
(Apart from the year or so I spent living in Cork and where I visit 1-2x/year as is where my fiancés family are).

Alot of Irish ppl prefer Vancouver because the climate is similar but I can't speak as I've never been there myself.

    http://www.toronto.com/

there's a link that might give you some concrete opinions.

And yes there are ski resorts. Try googling "Blue Mountain" in Collingwood.

Vancouver- but I'm also biased having tonnes of family there and been there loads.

It gets pretty warm during the summer and you have fab scenery.

Best city in the world- you can also go up to Whistler which is the largest ski resort in North America, it's about a 3 hour drive form Vancouver and the Winter Olympics are being held there in 2010.

Easy enough to get somewhere to stay, just head up around the area of UBC to get frat houses and students who are moving backhome for the summer

As far as I remember it doesn't matter which Destination you fill out on the visa application. You can land anywhere in Canada when you get the visa...some work restrictions apply for Quebec if your French ability is not up to standard
