No baldness is generally attributed to your genes. Baldness can be asscoicated with injury and damage but not asa standard.

    THings to note however:
    1) Your hairline changes as you get older no matter who you are (male or female)
    2) Your hair changes texture, colour and thickness as you age also (male or female)

AT 21 if you hairline has gone back a bit I wouldn't worry. If you see a patch thining then worry but all your hair don't. Regaine does work on most people but if you stop you loose the new hair. THe difference on some people is truelly amazing. Eating eggs helps your hair look healthier and fuller.

Mind you if you use a comb all the time to be a dapper dan you may de damaging your scalp with small scars.

i have friends who started to go bald at 17.
like i said, just shave all your hair off rather than hanging on to the last few strands.

    I would say no.
What might be happening though is that you're putting it in every day(or twice a day perhaps if you're getting dressed up to head out or something) and then washing your hair once or twice a day under hot water, then drying it.
Washing your hair in hot water can damage your scalp which might be affecting your hair and in general guys do a quick job of drying their hair and this also can weaken it(causing it to thin).

It may also be in your genes to have your hair thin/fall out early.

I don't know how well these work as I don't have this problem as of yet myself, but I've seen thickening shampoos and conditioners and apparently they work well. You could try them or if you're still worried go see your GP and I'm sure he/she could recommend something.

Hope that was of some help.

    Prehaps its hereditary?
Eg:Is your father bald?-if so what age was he bald at?

Hair is made of dead cells so no amount of Brylcream is going to damage the hair...if it doesn't affect your scalp it isn't going to be able to cause hair thinning....I don't think it would be allowed on the shop shelves if it caused problems like that, anyway......

On the plus side, baldness is a sign of virility....it can mean you produce a lot of testosterone....get an appointment with your GP to check their are no underlying issues for your hair thinning....but it is hereditory so if your brother/father/uncle went bald young, then the likelyhood is you will too....best of luck :)

You usually inherit baldness from your ma, i.e. her inherent baldness is expressed on her sons! When did your ma's father (your grandad) lose his hair?
