Working abroad

    Hi,

Just a quick question, I’m seriously contemplating working abroad, I’m kind of sick of this country at the moment and need a change to something a little more foreign. I’m kind of at that age where I need to have my own experiences and I think going away for a few months would be nice right now before I most likely go back into full time education in Sept ’07.

I know LOADS of people who go to Australia to work but that doesn’t really interest me to be honest. I’d rather go to Canada.

I’m just wondering if anyone knows of any recruitment agencies in Canada that proactively find visitors/backpackers etc work, I think it would be a lot easier to find work that way rather than applying for random jobs.

I know of a couple in Australia that find you work quite easily but as I said, I’d rather Canada.

Also, should I apply for a working visa before securing a job or after?

    Thanks.

Look on the USIT site about a visa. There's a special agreement with Canada that means you can get a 1 year work visa if you're Irish and under 30 (at least I think it was 30).

yeah so i saw, i'm not too worried about the visa though to be honest, i'm more worried about securing a half decent job first of all! heh
