Has anyone played here? What kind of games do they run? i'm going to be around there tomorrow night and wouldn't mind having a look.

Edit: I just rang the place there and they sound like the ultimate cowboys

Me: What cash games do you play

Guy on phone: Ah you decide yourself

    Me: is it hold-em? Omaha?

Guy on phone: Oh yeah they have the hold-em

    Me: What stakes

Guy on phone: Ah you decide that yourself

Me: Are you actually serious? There's no set structure

Guy on phone: Ah sure i dont play the poker myself

Me: Well can you find out whether its Pot limit/no limit/limit and what the blinds are.

Guy on phone: Eh sorry i dont know

Me: Ok thanks for all your help.

Its a kip of the highest order, played a tourney there once. 12 people around one table - 20euro multi rebuy tourney blinds doubled every 15 minutes topup was 3bb. Prizes were preset at 250for 1st 100 for second and free enty next week to 3rd. I reckon they took in 800 on the night.

Isn't this the place owned by Kennedy, the fellah that used to give Liam Lalor plastic bags full of cash?

I think he died a while back, there is quite a large portrait of him at the front desk, I can't decide if it's ghoulish or gaudy?!

Why the hell would you even contemplate going to this place when there's loads of cash games going in the fitz and some in the merrion or SE?

Settle down there bosco, went once for a look see and won't be going back for the exact reason Ianmac originally brought up, they have not an idea!
Plus I wanted to see what it was like inside from it's previous noteriety and ne'er do well's connections!
It's just a better than average slot-tastic amusement arcade with some casino tables down the back.
    Cute dealers though!

I know it looks a little gaudy on the outside and it can't even be compared to the SE, but the table they get going at the back is always pretty decent.

From am organistional point of view, ie answering telephone or front desk inquiries, they're not the best, but the gaming floor is well run.

The game is always pot-limit hold em, 50.c/1euro. Many of the players who play in the SE also play here before hand, because they often get a cash game going around 7ish on Thu, Fri or Sat night.

Because i've never been there and I'd like to try it out, as I've done with every other casino I've heard of.

I've never seen the outside, but the website is the tackiest thing I've ever seen.
