    Robert Winston was interviewed on ATR but it was cut short. They seem to be screaming their heads off on this show about Legacy who runs in the 3.35 at Wolverhampton. Has course and distance experience already, and is ATR's nap of the day. Came forth last time out, had every chance coming around the last bend but just didn't seem to get into it. Winston says it should win today though.

    I'm gonna go out on a limb and tip Golden Spectrum for this one. It beat Legacy back in Jan over a similar distance and similar ground. I won't be putting the shopping money on it mind, just a small flutter.

    That is very good value on boyles for a change, you will struggle to get it on betfair at the minute, I would say that will soon go lower on boyles.

    I see he has gone to 9/2 on paddypower and is about 5.2 on Betfair, that looks promising I suppose, but it probably just to do with the Robert Winston's comments on ATR earlier.

    Never beleive a jockey, trainer etc tipping their own horse - think about it.

    Out today but there is nothing to suggest it will win. In fact the horse will have expelled a lot of energy yesterday and could be just out for the run again today. The betting summary so far on Betfair is below;

    Total matched on this event: £10,884
    Betting summary - Volume: £1,931
    Last price matched: 7.60

    Not much money for it, interestingly enough 15/2 chance Whenwillitwin has the 2nd largest amount of money matched in the race with over £2000. However, as this is a handicap with crap unpredictable horses I won't be backing it. I will be sticking with Novice Hurdles today and my usual tipster lays.

    Its unusual to say the least, he probably wasn't expecting it to win. If you back every tip you get from a trainer and jockey you will be down a hell of a lot of money - if the bookies don't make money then there would be no racing industry so its in their interest to make money for the bookies and that is why so many horses loose on purpose!

    It's like any other walk of life, some trainers, jockies etc will be telling the truth other won't. If you've followed the game at all you'll know who to listen to and who to ignore.

    In general though I do find that the trainers with smaller yards, especially in National hunt are far more honest in their interviews.

    As for jockies I remember being told years ago when I first got interested in horse racing by a friend of the family who owned several horses at the time to "Never listen to what a jockey says in public, but in private make sure you listen to him". How true it is it's hard to say.
