Need help with setting up a wireless camera to reach around 3km away from a farmhouse to a field (for watching sheep) No direct line of sight can be made between the field and farm house. Anyone any ideas on what to do, with reference to the various camera types and transmitter types? Im a complete beginner so need all the help i can get. :D

I know there is a Linksys camera you can get, as well as Antenna's and signal boosters that could extend the network over that distance.

Have a look on Ebay or http://www.irishwireless.net/web/category.asp?catid=13). as reccommended by another user.

Would it be necessary to have a wireless network for the whole 3KM area?
if not you could find a dedicated Camera and Receiver device that might solve the range problem in one solution.

But I suppose the ability to check your e-mail or even have a Voip conversation while your out and about in the 3KM area could be cool.

    Hope this helps

is something more like you need, , you will need a decent camera tho to cover a field and an IR source too if you want to watch them at night
