Taken from Vegas Nights website (PS I had to buy Muso a pint, and got no dinner :( )

    What happened in february.....

On Saturday 11th february eighteen teams representing various poker clubs and associations made their way to The Anglers Rest, Chapelizod, Co. Dublin.

One hundred and thirty-four players spread around seventeen poker tables sat down ready for battle .The first hands were dealt at one o'clock in the afternoon. By half past four we were down to eleven tables of eight.

The day went on and more and more people gathered at the bar to tell their bad beat story. At half past eight the remaining eighteen players took time out for dinner and to celebrate the fact that they were all in the points. All but two teams had representatives in the points. Board stupids (boards.ie) had a big advantage with four players in the points where most teams had either one or two.

After another hour and a quater of play we were on the final table. Board Stupids sealed the title of winning team when ninth place exited the tournament. By half past eleven it was heads up between Rob McCabe (Vegas Nights) and Rory (Fistfull Of Shamrock). Fifteen hands later the flop came out Q high. Rob raised, Rory re-raised all in and Rob called. Rob turned over Q,7 for top pair but was out kicked when Rory turned over Q,A. Only a seven could could give Rob the title of individual winner. No help for Rob on the turn and again on the river. It was all over.... Individual winner went to Rory from Fistfull Of Shamrock and runner up went to Rob from Vegas Nights.

Nick, Culchie was adamant that boardstoopids was spelt with 2 o's and not a u. I'll make sure u get the cup back in plenty of time, i just have to find it. I think i left it under a big pile of unwashed underpants. :D
