Job Prospects??

Ok ive got a quick question for anyone who might be able to help me out:

I'm nearing the end of a two year course at the moment, year one consisted of a fetac information technology award and semester one and two of ccna.
This year is a fetac networks and software systems award and three and four of ccna.

I realise that the fetac awards are not greatly impressive things to have but what i want to know is what are my job prospects at the end of this year with both the fetac and ccna ?(bearing in mind i hope to do the ccnp the year after next). my impression is that i could do something like tech support for a year to gain experience then go into networks(what i really want to do). i have good references from previous full time work(2 1/2 years and 3 years) these jobs were unrelated to networking(sign design).

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, cheers.
