it seems to me that theres a bit too much ass kissing involved. its a good concept at heart but isnt the most active community. just want to know what people think

Never liked any of the bands involved with them musically so I never paid much attention to gigsmart. They do seem to have died off alot the last while though....

Go check www.thumped.com . Nice friendly people over there and an amazing amount of doing stuff for the cause instead of for personal gain.
