Is my router dead?

My netgear dg834g got unplugged accidenatlly from the mains last night (the PC was off) It was plugged into a surge protector.

When I booted up today, I had no connection, be it WAN or to the router itself.
I noticed it was rebooting itself every minute or so, all the leds would come on in succession and then it would reboot.
I've tried holding the reset button in for 30 seconds (factory reset)...tried leaving it unplugged for a few hours, everything I can think of.
It cannot be accessed via any browser @ 192.168.0.1 using ethernet cable.
I've tried pinging it and got 100% packet loss, destination host unreachable etc.

Netgear troubleshooting guide is no help, and the forums aren't much better.
This router has had intermittent problems with my ADSL connection, but I think that's my line as much as the modem s/w...luckily I've held onto my old BT USB modem or I'd be up sh*t creek right now.
I've eMailed TS, but it'll probably take till at least tomorrow to get a cookie cutter reply...so I'd appreciate any comments.
