Edit: I just read a bit more on 2+2, it seems that uninstalling the Party software that's currently on your machine is the main cause of problems. It also uninstalls all your picture files.

Party has been Beta testing their new client software over the last while. Apparently they gone live with the new version in the last few days.

Several people on 2+2 have posted that the installation has deleted every single picture (jpegs, .bmps, .gifs) contained in their Program Files directory (and all sub-directories) on the hard drives. So every application that you use that's installed in the Program Files directory has had all images deleted, from desktop icons to your beloved porn collection.

    Threads here and here.

I don't know if it's been fixed yet so I'd be careful what you download and I wouldn't update your Party software until you know it's been fixed.

    Enjoy!

That's one nasty can of worms, can you imagine some poor graphic/web designers PC

Would PP be liable for loss of income in any such instance?

This is an utter disgrace imo, all bugs should be ironed out in a test environment before going live, there will always be some that remain, however one of this magnitude is simply not acceptable from one of the worlds largest poker rooms.
