I have never noticed this before but maybe it,s quite normal. I have a digibox connected to av1 of a dvd recorder to record sky, while viewing through the recorder tv input if I am watching a sky channel and switch off the digibox then naturally I can see or hear nothing, however If I switch off the digibox while viewing the EPG then I can still hear the EPG audio even though the digibox is switched off. The digibox is connected to the recorder via a video /audio only wired scart lead not a 21 pin fully wired scart lead. the audio out phonos are not connected. I am baffled.

I have often seen this happen but could never get to the bottom of it.

The Standby on the Digibox isn't. The digibox is always fully running, It just mutes the SCART / RCA and switches of the RFmodulator.

Obviously a bug results in EPG audio not muted. If you go into setup you'll find a place to disable EPG audio all of the time.

Apart from the problem of insanity slowly creeping in due to the EPG music ;)

I always recommend turning off EPG music. Very important too if you use the Skybox for other satellites.

I like the epg music, the lack of it is my indicator of a dual recording sitaution.

    You're a sad case James.

The Ch*n*s* use Sky EPG music instead of bamboo shoots and water torture. For a while though they used piped Muzak from hotel lifts.
