IMHO the worst of the lot. :( Poor storyline - awful characters and some "baddies" who have been "nicked" from other sources. Very disappointed in light of the quality of the last episode.

yep a big pile of tosh

so they were able to eat every part of generic soldier 1 including his bones & clothes but they only eat part of generic scientist & genereic soldier 2, why was that?

how did they set off the self distruct if they only eat meat?

why didnt sgc send in flame throwers from the stargate to drive them back, or send in a loud sound pulse, or that nerve gas, or people in haz mat suits?

it would have been alot cooler at the end if they had shown a picture of the entire planet, or even a part of it, completely ravished & eaten by the bugs

Also very disappointed in this episode I have to say. It had some actual potential, but the script just fel to pieces.

    Very disappointed.

There are three more episodes left in this season, they really better have ay least 3 decent episodes.

Have to agree that this was a pretty poor episode. I don't look forward to SG1 as much as I used to and certainly not as much as I do BSG these days. It'll be interesting to see if they capitalise on the whole veiled Chinese threats about the Stargate but given past performance I can't see that happening. Also I know that Americans don't like the French for the whole not supporting Iraq thing but come on generic French coward 1 was just taking the piss.

Quiet a few stargates being lost recently  Pity they didnt use the ships a bit more in the storyline when they actually have to use em. Would like to see some space combat

BTW, think any more ships being built seein as the Odyssey was ready the episode straight after Promethius was lost, or they just buildin em quickly when we loose one.

it was a very avrage ep. but the "your my boy blue" reference to old school put a smile on my face:)

I'd say it's safe to assume the soldiers set off the self destruct.

    The episode wasn't great.

Very middle of the road but in comparison to some of the tripe we have been fed over the past two/three years, it was actually pretty good.

Decent story, alright script, a good idea for an enemy with some more realistic scenarios then we've seen before.
Definatly on par with last weeks.

Didn't like the 'Old School' jokes though.

'Twas alright - nothing more. It seemed a bit hacked together and I found the bugs in "Prodigy" more entertaining (and that also featured a similiar last defence). The only bit that stirred me out of a lethargic state was the threat of the Chinese calling the American's BS. Let's see that happen sometime before S14?

lets be honest, this season, the sg producers/directors/writers are either rushing things, spending too much time on the wrong things, or following the wrong routes, imo.

    -over use of valla
-over-jacking (excuse the pun) of mitchell
-two parters where one in the first 6-7 seasons would have been used
-spending episodes, yes episodes, as in plural, trying to put earth back down the galactic rung after they have defeated the go'uld.
-not going back to past favourites, the shakah, for eg.
-not using the china threat before this.

there are many more, and im sorry i cant reference episode names, im just bad with names, but this is the general feel im getting this season.

they could bring back jack and sams dad and martuf (again) and fraiser (again) and the tolen, and Apophis (again) and Hammond, for the last episode, and it still wouldnt redeem what has been a poor season.

the only good thing is that the next season has a real chance to shine in comparison to this season

    imo

Quite bad really, very little entertainment value. I wonder are they saving up their entire budget for the season finale? It would be nice to have a few more descent non-Ori based episodes.

    A very average episode.

Though I thought by all the talk that this was going to be the worst episode of the season so far. I was wrong, however. That dubious title stays with the episode where Mitchell was getting the flash backs of committing the murder.

Average episode but the line at the end about Starship Troopers was very good...

Is anyone else getting sick of SG1 being beamed out of certain death just in time... i mean wtf are the writers being paid for... i could come up with that ending.
