I went to partition my hard drive today and made a total balls of it to be honest but thats another story.I ended up having to re install windows and lost everything off my hard drive. The big problem Im having is when I go to boot up my pc it beeps twice and displays the message WARNING CPU FAN FAIL OR SPEED TO LOW.I get the option to continue and windows xp boots up fine.I have an ASUS-SLI premium but havent a clue how to fix this problem.I reinstalled all the boards drivers and the monitoring software which shows the CPU fan at about 600rpm but the chipset and chassis fan at 0 rpm.Can someone please help me fix this so I dont do any major damage to the board or processor.
    Thanks in advance.

    Aaron

Have a look at the fans inside the case
    Are they running?

Also check the connections to the motherboard and make sure they are pushed in as far as they will go.

yeah the do look to be running but the one at the processor is very slow. All the connections are fine as it was working perfectly up to about 90 minutes ago.The pc is only 2 months old so everything inside should be fine.I cant seem to find how to adjust the settings for the fans.

It should be in the BIOS
i.e. press F2 or Del as the computer boots up

are you sure you didn't knock out some cable(s) for the fan not to work properly? it could b just loose and need to be pushed back down!

And if there is any speed control on the actual fan itself, like a little switch or something, just make sure it is not slowing it up

I was partitioning it to install xp pro that my friend gave me so when I went to install xp pro at the same time as partitioning and thats where it all went wrong, but dont ask we what.Just kept getting boot error messages and couldnt even get to safe mode so I just reinstalled the normal xp which I own to get around it.I havent opened the pc so I dont think it could be a loose connection

    Thanks again for the offer.
Still cant get the fans going.Has anyone got any experiance of this happening before or with the A8N-SLI board and it has to be a software/bios problem as I havent touched the inside of the pc.Also will using the computer to try and fix this problem without the 3 fans working damage any of the parts.
